Context
This project is an exploration of game play ideation and mapping. I have conceptualized a platform game majorly featuring 5 animals . The contents of the game are the map, characteristics of the animals, stories, environment,game play rules and the narrative that follows.
Process and Concept
In this gameplay map, I explored the idea of what would happen if all the humans would disappear one day, due to an incurable disease and find home on other planet. The animals are immune to this disease, but not immune to humanities creations. I have explored different domains of industries that are problematic for animals like fashion, entertainment, make up, etc. The obstacles still existing even after humans are gone is a metaphor to the irreparable damage humans are causing to the nature and fauna. The quest to stop the nuclear power plantshows the carelessness and entitlement of humans to use and throw the resources for their personal gain.
Gameplay Mapping
The mapping of the game delves into an adventure role playing platform game, in which ideas of empathy, skills and abilities of animals, their perspective of the world is explored. The character design is the animals in their true form. It encompasses of storytelling through a study of each creature. The colour of each level is the one that the animal could perceive. Different sensory are explored through a mix of textures, colours and features.

Rules of the game
-Start playing as the dog
-A new animal unlocks at every level
-Discover different abilities of the animals as you go through levels.
-Pass the obstacles
-Limited 5 lives to restart from checkpoint once they are over restarting the level.
-Understand the interaction of certain animals with different objects by trial and error. The extinct species come in certain parts of the game and equip you with special power ups.
- In the last location of the map with 10 levels, play in pairs where the game format changes to more of a puzzle game. Use the abilities of each animal to pass familiar obstacles.
- Every level has secret animals which can be unlocked by entering side quests, providing abilities to pass the levels faster.
